This beautiful antique Silver Malachite Vine leaf brooch is Victorian Circa 1870.
The wonderful brooch is made up of stunning green Malachite’s depicting a fabulous Vine leaf clinging to an engraved branch.
Leaf symbols were common in Victorian jewellery pieces and represent a deep connection with nature. The Vine leaf symbolises renewal, growth and opportunity as the plant is known to grasp anything around it in order to grow and rise to the top.
Malachite means Mallow-green stone, due to its resemblance to the leaves of the Mallow plant. The stone radiates the rich green allure of nature displaying the beauty of plants and trees within it’s patterned surface.
The brooch is set in Silver and features an inscription on the reverse.
This is a lovely, collectable brooch, steeped in history and looks beautiful when worn!
